POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities and Landscape Senior Supervisor is responsible for maintaining all orchard facilities and landscaped areas including seasonal housing facilities. In addition, this position also maintains the landscaped areas of the Harry & David Medford campus at a level that is indicative of Harry & Davids quality reputation. This role includes hands-on activity to complete required maintenance responsibilities as well as supervise up to 30 employees to accomplish tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assign tasks, supervise and work with orchard staff to complete objectives as set forth by the Facilities Manager.
- Maintain readiness of orchard facilities and fixed orchard systems through routine maintenance schedules and repairs as needed.
- Maintain 5 acres of landscaping located on the Harry&David campus, including lawns, trees and shrubs, seasonal flowerbeds, decorative borders. Complete landscape care which includes planting, pruning, weeding, irrigation, fertilizing, removing leaves and debris, pest control and mulch spreading.
- Supervise and implement weed control measures throughout the Harry&David campus (landscaped, parking and drainage areas) and orchard seasonal housing facilities.
- Monitor, conduct and record routine facilities inspections as required by federal and state regulations and company policy.
- Provide direct supervision of up to 5 full time employees and 20 seasonal staff, providing communication and support to complete tasks.
- Supervise seasonal housing operations during harvest, including kitchen, janitorial and bussing staff. Provide support for housing staff, security, and seasonal housing residents.
- Act as 2 nd shift Supervisor for housing during peak employment months.
- Submit daily data entry such as staff timekeeping, accident reporting and progress reports to Facilities Manager and other staff.
- Purchase (or requisition through the Facilities Manager) operating supplies and repair materials as needed to support orchard staff in their daily operations.
- Monitor, instruct and enforce safety rules while advocating for improvements.
- Complete facilities and building maintenance projects and repairs that require vocational skill in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing expertise.
- Oversee the inspection, maintenance and repair of orchard ladders and document the process.
- Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, UTVs, leaf blowers, chain saws, electric hand tools, and pruning saws.
- Operate fixed orchard and campus landscape systems such as wind machines, propane heating systems, irrigation, greenhouses and petroleum containment sites.
- Work with other Harr y& David departments (Shop, Environmental Services, HR) and outside contractors to complete objectives.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- 3+ years supervisory experience required.
- Landscape maintenance or horticulture preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
- Pesticide Applicators license preferred. Must be able to obtain within one year of employment.
- Current Food Handlers Permit or able to obtain within one year of employment.
- First Aid/CPR certified or able to obtain within one year of employment.
- Must have a valid drivers license and three-year clean driving record.
