Your new role
An assistant superintendent at a general contracting firm specializing in historic restoration, renovation, andmercial multifamily construction would typically be responsible for:
Supporting the Superintendent in managing daily site operations and ensuring projects stay on schedule.
Coordinating subcontractors to maintain workflow and quality standards.
Ensuring safetypliance by enforcing regulations and conducting site inspections.
Assisting with historic preservation efforts, ensuring restoration work meets required standards.
Monitoring quality control through inspections and documentation.
Managing schedules and logistics to keep materials and labor organized.
Troubleshooting issues and adapting to unexpected challenges on-site.
Communicating with stakeholders to provide updates and maintain project alignment.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working in the trades or in a Field Engineer/Assistant Superintendent position with another General Contractor
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or relevant field
OSHA 30 & First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
Safety awareness to enforce regulations and maintain a secure worksite.
Technical knowledge of construction processes, materials, and project management tools.
