Hiring for Maintenance Mechanics In Greenfield, IN $25-31/hour Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of machinery and equipment through routine and preventive maintenance. This position involves conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting, and performing necessary repairs to minimize downtime . Additionally, the mechanic assists in the installation of new equipment and maintains accurate records of maintenance activities in line with auditing standards. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment. Diagnose mechanical, low voltage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues , and perform necessary repairs. Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment , ensuring proper operation and safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Navigate, maintain, and improve Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) processes. Essential Skills Troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Repairing gearboxes, bearings, chain-driven conveyors , and low voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with safety precautions related to electrical systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in industrial maintenance. Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulics and pneumatics. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr.
