Experienced Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled carpenter with over two years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, expertise in various carpentry techniques and tools, strong problem-solving and math skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities Construct, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures/fixtures. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. Perform framing and rough carpentry, as well as trim and finish carpentry tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift 50lbs. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Experience higher than average pay with opportunities for increases. Work Environment Work in a commercial construction environment with a team of 3-10 people on-site. Standard working hours are 7 am-4 pm, Monday through Friday, with variations possible throughout the season or project as needed. The dress code is practical and comfortable, consisting of boots, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. For certain projects, you may be required to travel to locations such as Ames, Des Moines, or Huxley, IA, with the option to ride in a company van if you live near the Ames shop. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
