What you ll do as a Designer/Drafter: Design and engineer custom metal products Perform new and revised product designs using 3-D modeling Create production drawings and determine proper tolerances Communicate with customers and outside vendors Work closely with the sales department to create concepts in a timely manner Determine proper feasibility, performance, and reliability during the design process Serve as Project Manager on large volume projects Prepare color renderings for customer presentations Work closely with estimating, tooling, purchasing, and samples
