Network Construction Manager
Location: Indianapolis, IN(This role is 100% remote with 25% field support requiring travel to Indiana)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Network Construction Manager with a focus on Fiber. This role is responsible for the daily administrative tasks of the Fiber Network Construction team, including purchase orders, invoice reviews, and fiber splicing within the assigned geographic area. The successful candidate will work closely with all team members to improve the quality of billing processes, deliverables, and the end-to-end splicing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day administrative activities of the Fiber Network Construction team.
Review and distribute splicing design packages as necessary.
Communicate with vendors regarding fiber splicing work and billing.
Assist with project financials and milestone management, including forecasting, issuing and receiving on vendor POs, invoicing on customer POs, tracking and resolving past due invoices.
Develop progress reports, track progress, and identify/resolve obstacles.
Provide additional administrative support as required.
Skills Required:
Minimum three (3) years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience.
Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) for SCS.
Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing OTDR and Power Meter.
Knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards.
Strong computer skills - MS office, Smartsheet, Excel, and project management software knowledge.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Education/Certifications:
High School degree.
A valid driver's license required.
