Mead & Hunt has a position open for a construction engineer.
Responsibilities include:
Serving as the project engineer/manager on transportation construction engineering and inspection projects in/around the eastern panhandle of West Virginia
Overseeing on-site and remote engineering/inspection staff
Monitoring construction activities
Conducting inspections
Performing contract administration tasks
Preparing monitoring contractor schedules and budgets and internal department budgets
Attending client meetings
Traveling to construction sites throughout the state will be required
A valid driver's license is required
Extended hours and overnight stays will be required
The successful candidate will have all of the following:
A bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering or construction management from an accredited college or university
At least six (6) years of relevant work experience
a PE license in any state with ability to obtain in West Virginia within six months of start date.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
Transportation construction project management on WVDOH projects
WVDOH standards, specifications, and materiel testing procedures
Construction management software (Site Manager or Project Wise)
Client management.
