This position is part of Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education. As an Electrician you will be responsible for working from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering, drawings, and electrical maintenance and repair manuals to plan and lay out the routing, placement type, size, gauge, balance, load, continuity, and safe operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems, equipment and controls.

Your typical work assignments may include the following:

Inspect, maintain, repair and test electrical motors, buzzer and bell circuits, light sockets, lighting fixtures, fire alarm systems, electronic score boards, electronic wheelchair lifts, intercom systems, appliances and/or equipment.

Insert, splice, and connect wires to fixtures, outlets, switches, receptacles and power sources.

Repair broken or frayed wiring and repairs and/or replaces switches, plugs, fuses, fluorescent and incandescent lamps and makes tests required to assure satisfactory results.

Follow maintenance and inspection schedules; perform maintenance services, diagnose system malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
