Low Voltage Tech/ Cable Technician (Travel Required)

Are you a dedicated low voltage technician looking to apply your skills in hands-on installations? This is your opportunity to play a crucial role in building data centers, spinning up office networks, and delivering reliable infrastructure for remodels and new buildouts. This is a travel-intensive role with full reimbursement for expenses, designed for a proactive technician.

Responsibilities Include:

Cable Installation and Termination: Install and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cables with precision and efficiency.
Fiber Optics Installation: Deploy and maintain fiber optic systems for high-speed connectivity.
Access Control & Video Surveillance: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain access control systems and security camera setups.
High-Ceiling Cabling: Execute wiring installations at heights above six feet, using ladders or lifts safely.
Comm Room Setup: Punch down cables and integrate infrastructure into comm room switches and structured cabling environments.
Rack & Stack Server Builds: Assemble and install server racks, ensuring efficient layout and connectivity.
Travel Requirements: Work across various client sites with reimbursed travel costs, transforming raw spaces into functional offices and data centers.

Qualifications & Experience:

Solid experience with Cat5/Cat6 cable installations and terminations.
Knowledge of fiber optics installation and management best practices.
Familiarity with access control systems and video surveillance configurations.
Comfortable working in elevated spaces with ladders or lifts.
Strong background in comm room wiring and structured cabling systems.
Ability to troubleshoot cabling issues and interpret server/data center layouts.
