Welder Fitters

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking skilled Welder Fitters with experience in the steel industry to join our client's project. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints and fit-up of structural steel components, along with performing high-quality welds using FCAW or other applicable processes. A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.

* Rate of Pay: $30-35/hr DOE
*Schedule: 5am to 3pm pm Monday - Friday - possible OT (Project based 4+ weeks)

Key Responsibilities:
Fit and assemble structural steel components based on blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
Perform welding operations using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), primarily in the 3G position.
Measure, cut, grind, and prep steel materials using hand and power tools.
Inspect fit-up and completed welds to ensure accuracy and quality.
Set up, adjust, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment.
Operate safely in a shop or job-site environment, adhering to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Maintain clean and organized work areas and tools.

Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fitter/Welder in the steel fabrication or structural steel industry.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings.
Proficient in 3G FCAW welding, with the ability to pass a weld test if required or have current certification.
Strong math, measuring, and layout skills.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions (standing, bending, overhead).
Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
FR pant and long sleeve shirt and or coveralls.
