Location: Marinette, WI (with travel to Green Bay, WI as required)

NSC Staffing is hiring an experienced Shipyard Pipe Supervisor to lead pipe welding, fitting, and brazing operations in support of Navy shipbuilding and repair activities. This is a long-term contract opportunity (1+ year) based in Marinette, WI with per diem available for non-local candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily production activities for hotwork (pipe welding, brazing) in support of Navy new construction projects, including LCS class ships
  • Supervise a team of approximately 20 skilled tradespeople in pipe fabrication, welding, fitting, and testing
  • Coordinate all aspects of production, safety, cost, and schedule performance
  • Manage and maintain accurate documentation of inspections, sea trial cards, work orders, and production reports
  • Interface with prime contractors, subcontractors, and U.S. Navy personnel during checkpoints and meetings
  • Provide clear direction, set performance goals, and resolve disputes or discipline as necessary
  • Conduct daily crew meetings and safety observations, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence
  • Maintain digital records and perform data entry for job tracking, payroll/timekeeping, and labor charge reporting
  • Monitor part usage and materials, ensuring alignment with work order requirements
  • Participate in milestone planning, crew scheduling, and forecasted labor projections

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or working foreman experience in shipyard environments, specializing in hotwork (pipe welding, brazing, pipefitting)
  • Proven expertise in handling copper nickel (CuNi), carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum piping systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and reporting
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Navy shipbuilding standards and inspection processes preferred
