ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and leads maintenance projects.
- Accurately diagnose and solve mechanical problems as they arise.
- Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment such as production machines, conveyor systems, hydraulics, power transmissions and all mechanical equipment.
- Visually inspects and performs preventative maintenance to machines and equipment.
- Performs welding tasks related to repairing equipment/machinery.
- Follows blueprints, diagrams and service manuals to repair broken parts, realign and adjust mechanical components and to dismantle machines to gain access to the problem areas.
- Works on air and hydraulic pipes on the machines by measuring, cutting, threading and installing new pipe.
- Actively supports and participates in the continuous improvement process.
- All other duties as signed by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED. Strong mechanical systems knowledge along with demonstrated knowledge in hydraulics, power transmission, welding and basic electricity. Industrial mechanical skills in general plant production maintenance and repair.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 50+ lbs., standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, crouching, push/pull, reach above shoulders a great amount of time and hand/finger dexterity required. Overtime is required.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A WEEKLY ROTATING SCHEDULE, AS WELL AS, MANDATORY OVERTIME (as needed)
- SAMPLE SHIFT ROTATION PATTERN:
- WEEK 1: 11pm to 7am - Work 7 days (Wed - Tue.), off 1 day (Wed)
- WEEK 2: 3pm to 11pm - Work 7 days (Th - W), off 2 days (Th & Fri)
- WEEK 3: 7am to 3pm - Work 7 days (Sa - Fri), off 4 days (Sa - Tue.)
- WEEK 4: Start rotation over at WEEK 1 (11p to 7am)
