Superintendent

Prepare the project schedule and maintain reports accurately describing project status. Responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects. Review status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents. Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment. Direct sub-contractor activities within commercial fit-outs for interior projects. Analyze manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interface the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent. Implement and enforce policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management. Prepare reports and forecasts, as required, and keep supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities. Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.Requirements: Requires Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or related field of study, and 3 years of field experience as General Foreman, Field Engineer, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Construction Project Manager or in a related occupation involving construction projects within construction management firm. Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: surveying existing conditions and providing pre-con services; reviewing costs for field/design driven change orders; reviewing subcontractor scopes and ensuring field expectations are met; preparing project schedules and maintaining reports describing project status; supporting and supervising subcontractors and laborers on construction projects; working on safety standards and requirements of construction job site; analyzing manpower, managing materials, as well as equipment requirements; and enforcing policies on job sites and complying with safety standards.Internal Referrals for this position are eligible for the Employee Referral Program.Employer:Structure Tone, LLCWork Location:330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001Hours: M-F, 40 hours/weekSalary: $131,518 to $140,000/year Apply at:Go to click on Apply and search the job posting using job title Superintendent
