Maintenance Mechanic Job Description As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. You will ensure a steady, uninterrupted supply of colorant and material to the machines and maintain foil supply on hot stamping equipment. You will also adjust and repair minor services on auxiliary equipment and provide recommendations to Maintenance personnel and Shift Supervisors. Effective communication with on-coming and off-going Mold Technicians is essential to give and receive specific instructions and quality information. Your role supports and investigates situations where line or equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risks, and you will complete your responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Maintain steady supply of colorant and material to machines. Maintain foil supply on hot stamping equipment. Adjust and repair minor services on auxiliary equipment and recommend solutions. Communicate effectively with Mold Technicians to exchange instructions and quality information. Support and investigate situations where equipment stoppage occurs due to safety risks. Complete responsibilities following the organization's policies and procedures. Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance personnel regarding machine operations and malfunctions. Collect and inspect daily production reports for accuracy and perform data entry. Perform some responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor when required for position coverage. Maintain assigned area free of safety hazards and report safety issues. Adapt to fluctuating production demands and work flexible schedules, including overtime as needed.
