**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This position is responsible for leading the Production department to achieve safety, quality, and production goals. The position must use strong leadership skills to direct, control, and coordinate the objectives of the manufacturing environment and continuous improvement initiatives.
**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
This position oversees the day to day production of our TPO insulation and producing first quality product for our customers while keeping safety a number one priority.
Responsibilities include: Safety, quality, teammate relations, production performance, and housekeeping
Details include but are not limited to:
+ Working with management to schedule and support daily customer needs.
+ Effectively communicate to the teammates utilizing the SQDCCP board
+ Utilize the SQDCCP board to drive improvement
+ Knowledge of production line, variations in product, and familiarity with product specs to ensure all product produced is top quality.
+ Work with Cross Functional Teams (Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse) on daily opportunities and counter measures for production related items.
+ As the shift supervisor, it is your responsibility to have knowledge of your production line and to be able to troubleshoot problem areas including assess minor things and assist maintenance staff as needed.
+ Actively utilize 5'S and lean tools and methodology
+ Maintain and update safety IIP program, ensure proper use of PPE, and compliance of plant safety programs, investigate incidents and assist with implementation of safetycountermeasures.
+ Promotes teamwork environment
+ Updates Production Operation Manager/Plant Manager on any activities that may affect the department's ability to meet its daily obligations.
+ Observe, train and coach teammates, in accordance with the teammate training program
+ Teammate management including attendance management, disciplinary action, and performance plans.
+ Maintain Kronos Time & Attendance tracking for teammates.
+ Actively participate in the short/long term board meetings, helping to drive root cause and corrective action
+ Ensure all teammates are held to the same standard, requiring all teammates to follow policies and procedures according to the handbook
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
+ High School Diploma with 3+ years experience supervising others in a manufacturing environment.
+ Must be able to work overtime as needed
+ Willing to cross-train and rotate to other positions as needed
+ Must have good attention to detail
+ Must have a good attendance record
+ Must have a strong safety record
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
+ Work in changing temperature environment (hot or cold)
+ Able to work with PPE requirements.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
+ Able to lift 50 lbs
+ Able to walk, stand or sit for long periods of time
