Provide project and operational objectives through research and study that leads to formal development of detailed execution plans in sync with crew capabilities and availability. Estimating
  1. As assigned, provide research, cost basis and analysis to support operational objectives.
  2. Assist and provide support to estimating on means, methods, sequences, schedule, material breakdowns, rentals and field hours.
  3. Assist in labor hour take-offs, equipment sizing, safety processes and pre-bid quotations for specialty fabricated items.
Sales
  1. As assigned participate on Pre-bid job site visits.
  2. Review pre-bid or pre-contract job site safety requirements.
  3. Travel and assist Sales with operational support when closing contracts.
  4. Travel and assist Sales when faced with imposing customers.
  5. Understand our customers and how our teams can foster a professional relationship.
  6. Mentor our site supervisors in customer, subcontractor, and vender relationships.
Tool Depot
  1. Support research and development of safe work tools and equipment.
  2. Provide planning, logistics, processes, and communication efforts to support Operational Objectives.
  3. Develop job specific tool lists and understand the cost associated with them.
  4. Develop internal & external material logistic plans.
  5. Develop and oversee execution of tool, material and equipment loads to job site.
  6. Communicate tools and equipment deficiencies and gather data to support capital purchase to support the business.
  7. Lead field crews through tool repair, maintenance, tagging and reporting.
  8. Develop and enforce tools & equipment treatment and accountability to the field crews.
  9. Analyze buy lists with tool depot to develop alternative methods when capacity is driving costs on buy lists.

Safety
  1. Directly integrated into the Adaptive Safety Program and responsible for teaching, enforcement, and discipline.
  2. Responsible for reviewing site conditions prior to mobilization to develop a safe work plan and communicate to the site crews. (confined space, fire/hole watch, elevated work)
  3. Responsible to assist in all safety related incidents, accidents, root cause, near miss, discipline or otherwise safety reporting. This may require short term job site visits.
  4. Collaborate with Safety Manager and/or Safety Consultants to provide safe works solutions for new or undefined conditions. Support Safety Manager with corrective measures to Safety Objectives.
  5. Responsible for ensuring all employees have current and appropriate training for operations they intend to perform.
  6. Be an objective and decisive stakeholder in all aspects of safe work, corrective measures, discipline, and workplace culture.
Operations
  1. Responsible for developing both short- and long-term project specific schedules.
  2. Responsible for developing project specific means/methods, sequence of erection, lift plans and shipping plans.
  3. Responsible for developing project specific labor breakdowns for performance reporting.
  4. Responsible to organize and maintain appropriate weld procedures and ensure their crew has the relative welder certifications for the specific job.
  5. Responsible for organizing appropriate code paperwork, travelers and arrange for inspections for ASME code work.
  6. Responsible for dispatching field crews that have the skills to meet the project scope, schedule and estimate.
  7. Responsible to teach, mentor and train field supervisors to ensure they have the skills and abilities to be successful.
  8. Direct authority over the field supervisors and their crew; daily calls to stay aligned with progress, schedule, quality and troubleshooting are expected.
  9. Indirect authority over field engineers as assigned by job. Responsible for having a rapport with Field Engineers to work as a team with field crews.
  10. Support QA/QC in developing, executing quality plans and testing plans for field projects.
  11. Develop and organize Job Site Layouts & Execution Plans.
  12. Responsible to collaborate with Project Management to justify an amended plan with an internal change order.
  13. Responsible to work with and carry out Project Management directives related to scope, schedule and costs.
  14. Responsible for communicating to both Director & Project Management regarding, safety, progress, critical lifts, customer impacts, subcontractor impacts or otherwise complex issues at the job site.
  15. Responsible for site visits as needed to kick-off projects, final completion, critical lifts, behavior, performance, schedule or safety events to ensure a project and crew success.
  16. Responsible to engage with and support other departments (procurement, engineering, accounting, payroll) to support project and company objectives.
  17. Provide communications through meeting notes, reminders, calendars to maintain operational objectives and efficiencies.
  18. Proactive and critical thinking to avoid operational impacts. Study, analyze and play out operational milestones to predict operational challenges; inform the team to collaborate and overcome.
Engineering
  1. Understand the exposure to engineering changes and modifications executed in the field. Work with ADAPTIVE Engineering or 3 rd parties to formally resolve to mitigate risk.
  2. Be proactive and diligent to engage Engineering to support the success of projects. Business/Management
  1. Participate in GGOB weekly huddles and present information as assigned.
  2. Collaborate with Project Managers (monthly) on Job Analysis Process for P&L Management
  3. Participate in business planning efforts as it relates to our safety program, tools, equipment.
  4. Enforce and discipline company policies and procedures.
  5. Must be able to travel with short notice, short term Approx. 0-40%

  • Must be available to our customers on an extended basis as related to emergencies of safety.
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment while still producing accurate work.

Education and Experience
6-10 yrs Stainless Steel Fabrication, Industrial Construction Experience and 3-5 yrs Labor Management
Physical Requirements Seeing : Must be able to see well enough to read documents and see computer screen. Hearing : Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with team members and management and listen to equipment. Standing/Walking : Must be able to move about the production or job site areas by stepping over and/or bending under objects; and the ability to stand up to 1 hour. Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling : Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up items from the floor. Lifting/Pulling/Pushing : Must be able to lift 30 pounds with or without reasonable assistance. Grasping/Feeling : Must be able to grasp and use equipment and tools. Working Conditions
  • Must plan for weather and site conditions appropriately when supporting projects in the field.
  • Must be present at either headquarters or job site to complete job responsibilities. In other words work from home is not permitted.
