Architectural Designer ( Fully Remote)

Job Description

The Architectural Designer position is a staff role responsible for project-specific design analysis and drafting, graphics, and drawing production, under the direction of a Project Architect or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct design analysis and drafting for residential building projects.
  • Produce graphics and drawings using Revit software.
  • Collaborate with Project Architects and Project Managers.
  • Support design deliverables including drafting and renderings.
  • Participate in jurisdiction-specific code checks and permitting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with energy codes and manage spreadsheet documentation.
  • Contribute to technical design aspects such as flashing details and custom building components.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture.
  • 2-4 years of professional work experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Minimum of one year of experience with drafting, graphics, and office software, particularly Revit.
  • Proficiency in designing residential building types including single-family homes, townhomes, multifamily and mixed-use buildings, and hotels.
  • Experience in Type VA & VB construction, especially wood light-frame construction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Autocad and Sketchup.
  • Experience in construction document production.
  • Involvement in permitting processes and jurisdiction-specific code checks.
  • Knowledge of energy codes and spreadsheet documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with technical design such as flashing details and custom building components.
Work Environment

This is a remote position with flexible hours, ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week based on project needs. The role includes paid time off, holidays, and vacation benefits. Daily check-ins with the Principal are required to align on goals and tasks, and over time, collaboration will expand to include team meetings 23 times per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
