CAD Drafter (Computer Aided Design Drafter)

WHAT YOULL DO**- Draft 2D Model, required drawings, analyze data to determine changes/modifications needed, and verify the accuracy and completeness of the model/drawings.- Reviews all applicable documentation and company procedural manuals to determine critical parameters of design.- Converts engineers' rough product design sketches into working documents by digitizing with computer aided design (CAD).- Maintains standards by reviewing engineering drawings and supporting documentation.- Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.- Uses knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, etc., in developing designs and confers with other departments as necessary to ensure integrity and manufacturability.- Understands established standards, follows them, and suggests improvements when possible. CAD Drafter- Performs additional duties as requested.**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**Experience with 2D (CAD) modeling software required.An associate's degree, technical training or equivalent experience required.Experience designing structural preferred.Exceptional computer skills.Experience using Computer-Aided Design software.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
