Construction Contracts Manager
Location: Melville, NY (Hybrid)
Job Overview:
As a Construction Contracts Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our client's natural gas construction projects. Your role will encompass managing contract changes, negotiating terms, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. If you have a solid foundation in construction law, contract negotiation and possess excellent communication and organizational skills, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and negotiate change orders with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure all contractual obligations and legal requirements are met.
Monitor project progress and manage contract amendments.
Collaborate with project managers to align contract terms with project execution.
Resolve contract-related disputes and claims promptly.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence, and project documentation.
Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Ability to quantify changes to a construction contract through construction drawing take-offs, contract term research, and CPM delay analyses.
Proven experience as a Contract Manager in the natural gas/LNG, utility, or industrial construction industries.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, laws, and regulations.
Proficiency in CPM schedule methodology.
Excellent business and legal writing skills.
