SUMMARY OF POSITION
Performs routine maintenance, installation and integration of various types of process control instrumentation equipment such as transmitters, controllers, integrators, recorders and final drive elements. Make repairs to electrical power, motor and motor control circuits. Must be able to effectively communicate and work with team members.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
High School graduate or GED equivalent, demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication. Must have the ability to interpret schematic drawings (to component level) of pneumatic loops, hardware relay logic diagrams, PLC control programs, motor control circuit diagrams, etc. Must associate circuit symbols with actual components to include solid state electronics (transistors, integrated chips, resistors, capacitors, etc.) and common industrial electrical hardware (relays, contactors, starters, etc.). Must have good mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations and basic trigonometry for calculation of vectors as in VFD systems. Must be able to install electrical conduit of the various trade size (pvc, emt, rigid) and install instrumentation tubing. The ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals. Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a different environments example being (hot, cold, wet and dry) areas.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Minimum eight years' experience with diploma from accredited Technical School, military electrical/electronic training or a minimum ten years field experience in industrial environment, without a degree;or any combination of experience and training that would provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
Master / Journeyman electrical license preferred or ability to obtain one with-in one year of employment. This includes being responsible for acquiring and holding a City Approved License.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility. The employee is required to sit; use hands to finger; handle; or feel/hold objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; speak; hear taste and smell.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb ladders and platforms, and enter confined spaces and wear all safety equipment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or more.

* Regularly exposed to cold/hot and/or humid conditions, climate extremes are found in all areas of the plant

* Regular Exposure to cleaning and sanitation chemicals, hazardous material and waste as well as fumes or airborne particles
* Risk of electrical shock and vibration
* Noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be loud when in the production area
