Job Summary Under general supervision, engineer who analyzes design criteria and applicable codes, client scope of work, project requirements and prepares calculations required for the production of structural engineering construction drawings and specifications for building and non-building projects. DESCRIPTION As a Structural Engineer, you will work on complex building projects and develop innovative, practical solutions to various building structural design work for Project Managers, Architects, and Designers. In this role, you will perform design and analysis as well as other structural engineering tasks for building systems and components, along with non-building framing components. The successful candidate will also coach and mentor junior engineers, EIT's, and design associates on engineering solutions, and provide guidance to BIM designers. Perform complex structural analysis and prepare design calculations for building and non-building projects. Provide clear redlines and details for EIT's and BIM designers. High proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat PDF, and MS Teams. Provide engineering and project support to the Designer of Record (DOR) Assist and check design calculations performed by others. Ability to handle multiple projects - at least 2 to 3 - at different phases of design. Must be able to adapt to MBI project standards and team protocols. Establish and maintain corporate relationships with all employees, clients, and other stakeholders. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering Master's degree preferred. Must have 4 - 8 years of structural engineering experience. Education Bachelor's degree in Structural, Architectural or Civil Engineering. Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Familiar with Unified Facilities Criteria and UFGS. Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Maintain professional licensure in state which employee resides. Available for periodic travel. Licenses/Registrations Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) Compensation The salary range for this position is $85,000 -$110,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
