Job Summary:

The System Design Engineer will analyze client technical requirements and design integrated systems that meet those needs. Responsibilities include creating technical documentation, supporting system builds, participating in factory acceptance testing, and offering on-site operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

Design detailed system wiring diagrams, rack elevations, floorplans, and wall elevations using AutoCAD

Specialize in computer, network, and audio-visual systems design

Generate heat load and power requirement calculations

Interface directly with clients to understand technical requirements

Coordinate with internal departments for project scheduling and integration

Attend project kick-off meetings

Oversee field and shop installation processes and procedures

Seek out and evaluate new technologies for improved system solutions

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time

Education & Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred

3 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree

Skills & Certifications:

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I, OSHA 30) are beneficial but not required

Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Valid driver's license and safe driving record required

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Self-motivated and professional in limited supervision settings

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Primarily office-based, with occasional time on warehouse/assembly floor

May lift up to 35 lbs for project work

Travel to client sites up to 20%

Must be able to climb stairs and access construction sites with uneven surfaces.\

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $75,000 -$85,000 Annualy
