Our focus on industry Job Title: Sr. Design Readiness Engineer Location: Newton, MA Key Responsibilities: Develop assembly build processes and in-line testing strategies for electromechanical systems. Define requirements/specs for build and test fixtures; support their development and validation. Create and maintain DMR documentation: process flow diagrams, work instructions, test protocols, reports, and system documentation. Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on complex electromechanical subsystems. Design and execute verification protocols and manage test process implementation. Manage structured Bills of Materials (BOMs) for sub-systems and full systems. Analyze design for reliability, testability, manufacturability (DFx). Support fixture/process validation and various cross-functional projects. Contribute to Design History File (DHF) documentation and quality system compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering. 5+ years of experience in medical device or complex electromechanical systems preferred. Strong knowledge of DMR/DHF documentation and FDA/ISO regulatory environment. Hands-on experience with fixture development, process validation, and assembly/test process design. Proficient in root cause analysis, DFx, and structured BOM management. Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills.
