As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary: Are you the go-to person when something breaks? Do you love solving problems, turning wrenches, and keeping equipment in top shape? We're looking for a Mechanic/Shop Foreman who thrives in a hands-on environment and can keep our fleet of construction equipment and vehicles running strong. This role is perfect for someone who's not only mechanically inclined but also known for being a true handymana jack-of-all-trades who can handle whatever comes their way.
Location: This is a Sioux Falls, SD based position.
Hours: A typical workday is Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 4:30PM, actual working hours and days may vary due to project deadlines; May require weekend or evening work at times.
Compensation: Starting at $70,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on construction equipment, vehicles, trailers, and small engines
Conduct monthly inspections to ensure everything is safe, compliant, and job-ready
Keep accurate maintenance and repair logs for all equipment
Troubleshoot and respond to on-site breakdowns, including mobile repair calls
Manage shop inventoryorder parts, tools, and materials as needed
Identify issues and come up with creative, cost-effective solutions
Keep the shop organized, safe, and running efficiently
Weld, fabricate, and assist with other general repairs as needed
Required Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED (technical training or certifications are a big plus)
3+ years of experience as a mechanic in construction or heavy equipment
Skilled with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
Comfortable reading service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred
Able to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors in all seasons
Welding and light fabrication skills
Independent, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership of the shop
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Have experience maintaining skid steers, telehandlers, trailers, and trucks
Can fix almost anything and enjoy doing it
