What You'll Get To Do Spend your first 6+ months in the field, operating and laboring with the crew, so when you step up to lead, you know exactly how we work and why it matters Prepare sites for new schools, apartment buildings, roads, subdivisions, infrastructure rebuilds, and warehouses up to 200K sq ft from $400K - $4M Direct successful projects by ensuring your team has the necessary resources and is aligned on deliverables Drive the integrity of our work to always be high-quality and design-accurate Be the reason your crew goes home to their families each day by prioritizing safety above all else Support and mentor a small group of hard-working people who strive to improve and find the best ways to complete projects Work alongside a highly skilled team committed to helping you succeed and grow Remain local, working in the greater Hartford area (within 1 hour of Ellington) What You Bring You have 4+ years of experience and technical knowledge in commercial excavation site work & underground utilities with the ability to read drawings & use GPS You've scheduled and led crews You have a strong equipment aptitude (operation and mechanical), particularly with dozers, skid steers, and excavators You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves first and earn the crew's respect You value culture over ego and know that learning the way a company operates makes or breaks a leadership role Even Better (but not required) You've gotten your boots dirty in the field, working your way up from Laborer, and have built a deep understanding of each role's significance and challenges.
