Job Summary:

U.S. Pavement Services is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Team. The Ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including tractors, trailers, and hydraulic systems.

Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Execute brake repairs and vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.

Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repairs or upgrades.

Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used for inventory management.

Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to troubleshoot complex issues.

Adhere to safety protocols while working on equipment in the shop or field

Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):

Proven experience in heavy equipment repair or related

Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques

Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance is preferred

Experience with brake repair and general vehicle maintenance is essential

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

Experience with pavers, skid steers, heavy and light duty trucks preferrd
