Our data centers are the foundation upon which our software operates. Building and operating reliable and efficient data centers is essential to support the growth of Meta. The data center design team collaborates with all key stakeholders to ensure engineering and design of our data centers incorporate considerations from micro-levels (servers and IT equipment design requirements) to macro-levels (mechanical cooling and power distribution options) to enable maximum efficiency and reliability of our compute infrastructure. As an integral part of the Design team, you will support design and construction administration as Design Owner Representative, Mechanical Design Engineer and subject matter expert, collaborating with multiple internal partner teams such as Engineering, Construction Management, Quality, Safety, and Facility Engineering, and external partners such as engineers of record, general contractors, and regulatory agencies to deliver data center capacity safely, on time, within budget, and of high quality. This position is full-time, based in one of our US-office locations within the DEC (Design, Engineering and Construction) Team.
Required Skills:

Collaborate with the Meta Design team and EoR to ensure design deliverables such as drawing sets, shop drawings, requests for information, submittals, studies, audits, calculations and reports meet requirements and service level agreements outlined in EoR performance requirements.
Drive and hold teams accountable for design deliverables and engage on emerging requirements to ensure schedule milestones are met. Advise on opportunities to compress schedules wherever possible.
Proactively anticipate and mitigate potential design quality issues. Monitor and resolve design quality issues to ensure owner requirements are met.
Support design change cost estimates, provide insight on EoR contractual costs, team resource allocations and changes, monitor and report on mechanical-related expenses.
In collaboration with stakeholders, engage in deliberate, forward thinking to identify and mitigate risks. Contribute to the risk register.
Participate in factory tests, onsite testing and commissioning and other quality checks throughout the project life cycle and in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure proper installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and integration with other critical systems.
Liaise between internal teams, consultants and contractors across projects and campus to ensure transparency, situational awareness of status and way forward, and timely resolution of issues.
Maintain current awareness of project knowledge repository, status, decision, and planning documents. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Provide regular project updates to internal stakeholders and information sharing, priorities, and feedback to EoR.
Review and comment on mechanical design documents, specifications, and calculations.
