Steel MIG Welder Location: Ocala, FL (34474) Shift: 5am - 5pm/Friday - Sunday (Weekend shift) Pay: $20 - $23 (based on weld test/experience) Employment Type: Contract to hire About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Steel Welder to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for welding and fabrication, particularly those skilled in MIG welding techniques. You will be responsible for assembling and welding steel components, ensuring precision and quality in every project. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on milled and stainless steel components. Weld on both horizontal and vertical planes, including plug welds. Set up, lay out, and tack-up precision frame weldments and brackets. Square up and weld various shapes and structures to tight tolerances. Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. Qualifications Basic experience or training in MIG welding. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Familiarity with welding tools and machinery. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Willingness to learn and grow within a team environment. Preferred Skills Welding certifications (a plus, but not required). Experience with both horizontal and vertical down plug welds. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Work Environment Non climate controlled manufacturing facility. Will be in a building with bay doors open depending on the time of year Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
