Intrigued? Let's talk! Job Summary A welder Completes metal projects that match their clients' specifications. They choose materials, select gas ratios, and make various cuts and welds. MIG welders also interpret blueprints, follow safety protocols, and assist in the maintenance of their shop's inventory and cleanliness. Qualifications + Operate and set up MIG & TIG standard and pulse welders. + Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. + Use a tape measure, square level, and other measuring tools. + Work with sheet metal, tube steel, channel, I-beam, and plate steel in fabrication. + Position, align and fit components together utilizing fixturing. Bolt, clamp and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding according to blueprints and welding procedures specifications. + Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation. + Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. + Ability to assemble interior and exterior of projects. Required Skills and Experience + Minimum of 2 years' experience. + Strong attention to detail and precision. + Strong problem detection and solving skills. + Able to read and interpret blueprints. + Understands and utilizes various engineering and manufacturing documents including Bill of Materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions and solid models. + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. + Ability to work interdependently or in a team environment. + Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. + Welding certifications or relevant training + Use various precision measuring equipment to check work. Additional Skills and Experience + Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures. + Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations. + Operate hoist, cranes, riggings, forklifts to move equipment from one location to another.
