MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Machine Operator who consider themselves problem-solvers and are excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As a Machine Operator in the Laminating Department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines in a manufacturing environment. Your primary duty will be to ensure the machines under your care run smoothly, producing high-quality products according to specifications, and meeting production targets. You will also be expected to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (permanent scheduled once training concludes)
Overtime: Available on Fridays and Saturdays
Training: Will take place during 1st shift hours, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM

What will you do in this role?
Operate and monitor machinery, specifically the Laminator.
Set up machines according to job specifications, including adjusting settings, loading materials, and initiating the production process.
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any deviations or malfunctions.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and perform preventive maintenance tasks as required.
Troubleshoot machine problems and make adjustments or repairs as needed to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Ensure that finished products meet quality standards by conducting visual inspections and performing necessary tests.
Keep accurate records of production output, machine maintenance, and any issues encountered during the production process by inputting codes into system.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and practicing safe work habits.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to coordinate tasks, share information, and address any concerns.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to machine operation, safety procedures, and production processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools, materials, and equipment.
Follows all GMP Requirements aligned with the organizations ISO certifications of ISO9001, 14001 and 22001.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
Basic Requirements
Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standard situations.
Basic computer skills are required to read work instructions, record job data, follow work schedule, and communicate via email
Technical Capacity. Strong mechanical aptitude.
Flexible, adaptable and teamwork oriented.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects.
Preferred Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 3-5 years of consistent experience working with production equipment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Folding carton and SFL carton industry experience.
The physical requirements and work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use their hands to handle or manipulate objects, reach with their arms, and communicate verbally. Occasional physical activities include stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This role also requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
In the production environment, the employee is regularly exposed to loud noise and moving mechanical parts and frequently encounters humid conditions. Occasional exposure to high or elevated work areas, airborne particles or fumes, and vibrations may also occur.
