at ARCO Murray Associates in Downers Grove, Illinois, United States Job Description ARCO/Murray National Construction Company, LLC seeks Mechanical Engineer in Downers Grove, IL: Job Duties: Perform complex design of HVAC Systems for large scale buildings in the controlled agriculture, industrial, process/manufacturing, and commercial sectors. Review construction drawings and specifications for HVAC systems from schematic through the construction document phases. Manage internal and/or external production staff and provide directions to them for preparation of construction documents. Advise clients regarding mechanical systems/requirements available to meet their specific project needs and comply with safety codes. Review and accept selective shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents. Perform energy models for permit and for master energy studies. Interface effectively with clients and members of the project team and participate in meetings with owners, architects, construction managers, and subcontractors. Assist Project Managers with day-to-day management of project execution, deliverables, quality, schedule, contracts, subcontracts, proposals, and client interface. Represents company in project activities; directs activities of project team members; represents company in business development and marketing activities. Telecommuting and/or remote employment permitted. Salary: $70,200 - $106,950 Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Special Skill Requirements: 1. CAD/CAM; 2. SolidWorks; 3. MATLAB; 4. Computational Fluid Dynamics; 5. C/C++; 6. Ansys Fluent; 7. Microsoft Suite; and 8. PTC Creo.
