Project Manager/Estimator
Job Description

Join a leading Heavy Civil construction firm renowned for delivering complex infrastructure projects such as roadways, bridges, utilities, and site development. As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will play a vital role in overseeing all phases of heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction to completion while preparing accurate cost estimates for bids. This dual role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and effective management of budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for project bids.
  • Lead project teams to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality control.
  • Interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in project management and/or estimating.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, B2W, or similar.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Procore or MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil construction techniques including earthwork, paving, utilities, and concrete work.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • PMP, CCM, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and teams.
  • Valid drivers license.
Work Environment

Work within a Heavy Civil Construction Environment with typical hours from 9 AM to 5 PM. Benefit from the company's strong local reputation and excellent benefits plan, including profit sharing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $52.88/hr.
