Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated MEP Assistant Superintendent to join our team at a Data Center construction site. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital liaison between the client, general contractors (GC), and subcontractors, requiring excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of electrical systems. A background as an electrician or in a similar role is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand MEP specifications and details.
• Conduct daily site walks to ensure specifications and drawings are adhered to.
• Compile weekly inspection reports with photos, tracking the critical path.
• Manage equipment tracking logs from procurement to turnover, updating ship dates and tracking schedule delays.
• Collaborate with GC staff to maintain project schedules and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with MEP subcontractors to ensure Level 2-5 documentation is completed and ready for commissioning and customer acceptance.
• Track changes to the critical path and update them on as-built drawings.
• Assist with the startup and commissioning process and documentation for MEP equipment.
• Aid in developing the startup and commissioning schedule with the commissioning agent (CxA) and GC.

Essential Skills

• Understanding of Electrical Systems
• Field experience in construction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel)
• Experience in construction management
• Background in commercial construction and supervision

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a related field
• Background in electrical construction
• Preferred experience with data centers

Work Environment

This position is based on-site at a data center. The role offers a six-month contract with the potential for extension and conversion to a permanent position. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with six paid holidays and one week of paid time off, with eligibility for additional PTO if the contract is extended.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
