- Engage and motivate members and provide onsite leadership to resolve problems, facilitate faster improvements and improve working relationships, through effective communication, coaching, training, and development.
- Exercises limited authority; sets performance objectives, coaches team members on performance, completes performance evaluations, and recommends pay actions.
- Ensure corrective actions for quality, safety, delivery, cost, materials, downtime, etc. are addressed with proper root cause analysis and action plans.
- Properly communicate product changes, production schedule, working hours schedule, policies, procedures, department and company performance, customer feedback, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensures proper and appropriate training, counseling, and discipline is provided for members in accordance with Company policies, procedures and philosophy.
- Lead projects to achieve results in strategic initiatives while supporting productivity, cost reductions, delivery, safety, and quality through effective management of capital investments, operating expenses, project management, staffing and wages.
- 3 - 5 years of effective leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or Bachelors degree in business, operations management, engineering, industrial technology or related technical discipline, may substitute equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
- Lean/Six Sigma or Project Management certifications
- Ability to lead a team of up to 35
- Must lead via both influence and direct management to achieve results in a timely manner
- Must be computer literate, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, inventory control and project management applications.
- Must be highly organized with the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
- Must be analytical in solving issues and providing direction using strategic thinking and provide creative solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven change.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills.
