_Excavator Operator Commercial Concrete Construction_**

**Pay Range:** $28 - $33/hr Based on experience
**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious **Excavator Operator** to support our commercial concrete construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in site preparation, trenching, grading, and excavation for concrete foundations, utilities, and structural work. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and efficient site development in alignment with project specifications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform site excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling.
+ Excavate for concrete footings, foundations, slabs, and utility installations according to plans and elevations.
+ Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes to ensure accurate digging and layout.
+ Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
+ Work closely with site supervisors, concrete crews, and other trades to coordinate excavation activities.
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
+ Identify and report any site hazards, underground utilities, or obstructions.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Proven experience operating excavators in a commercial construction environment.
+ Familiarity with excavation for concrete structures, including footings, grade beams, and utility trenches.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes.
+ Strong understanding of soil types, slopes, and safe digging practices.
+ Valid equipment operator certification or license (if required by local jurisdiction).
+ Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
+ Experience with GPS or laser-guided excavation systems a plus
+ CDL license is a plus.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
+ Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
+ Must be able to climb in and out of heavy equipment safely.
