Field Engineer Inspector
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer Inspector to join our team. This role involves visiting various job sites in the metro area to assist contractors with pre-construction inspections. The successful candidate will use specialized instruments and equipment to detect underground sewer systems and water piping, marking their locations both on the ground and within software programs. These updates will be sent back to the office team to ensure maps and blueprints are accurate. The Field Engineer Inspector will also oversee crews surveying construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Visit different job sites in the metro area to conduct inspections before construction.
  • Use instruments and equipment to detect and mark underground sewer systems and water piping.
  • Mark locations both on the ground and in software programs for map updates.
  • Oversee crews of surveying construction inspectors on-site.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in GIS, utility industry, sewage, and surveying.
  • 2+ years of experience in underground surveying and construction.
  • Proficiency in field engineering and understanding of sewer systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience with blueprints or maps is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions is preferred.
Work Environment

The role involves working across the metro area and outdoors. You will travel with a team member to project sites, meeting at the Woodbury office around 7:00 AM, or earlier depending on the location. Candidates must be comfortable working in different environments and conditions. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
