Journeyman Electrician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team in various Michigan locations including Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Traverse City, and Petoskey. This role involves working on new builds and providing service as a Journeyman or Master Electrician, ensuring the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install feeder and branch conduit and wiring such as EMT, IMC, Rigid, PVC, and PVC Coated Rigid, including bending, cutting, and threading of all sizes and types.
+ Troubleshoot electrical components such as transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.
+ Install electrical systems including switch gears, motor control centers, electrical panels, fire alarms, conveyors, lighting, and power systems.
+ Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits using devices like ohmmeters or voltmeters for system compatibility and safety.
+ Read blueprints including MEP drawings, architectural specifications, schematics, plan details, wiring diagrams, and submittals.
+ Direct or train workers in installing electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
+ Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct breakdowns.
+ Maintain an electrician's license to meet governmental regulations and provide prompt, professional service.
+ Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures using hand and power tools.
+ Submit complete work orders daily and maintain inventory on service truck.
+ Operate and maintain company truck and tooling professionally, coordinating with managers as needed.
+ Ensure safe working conditions and enforce safety regulations.
+ Purchase materials and equipment required for duties and coordinate tasks with customers.
**Essential Skills**
+ Journeyman Electrician License through State of Michigan.
+ Minimum of 5 years experience in electrician and apprentice work with commercial or industrial experience.
+ Valid driver's license with own transportation to jobsite.
+ Experience with high voltage systems (up to 480v) with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
+ Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components.
+ Exceptional problem-solving skills with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Leadership experience such as leading crews or running jobs.
+ Experience as a foreman.

Offices located in Kalamazoo, Wayland, Big Rapids, Whitehall, Traverse City, Petoskey, and Midland.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
