We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and arecurrently seeking a Mechanical Engineer, FEA to join our Cable Backplane Systemsteam located in Etters, PA.

Amphenol's High speed cable backplane systems enable most of the world's IT anddatacom; including leading the way for the AI/ML revolution; and require some ofthe most advanced manufacturing technologies, and highest levels of precision,in the engineering world. These challenges require the most creative, technicalminds, and ultimately provide the most rewarding experience for an engineer.

The Mechanical Engineer, FEA will be responsible for mechanical simulations,structural analysis, and the development of hardware and cable components. Thisrole involves overseeing the development, validation and optimization of productdesigns, ensuring the accuracy and quality of finite element models and ensuringthe reliability and efficiency of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidatewill bring a deep understanding of finite element analysis (FEA), computationalfluid dynamics (CFD), and multi-physics simulations, and have strong projectmanagement skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resourceallocation to ensure timely delivery of products.Develop best practices, workflows, and standard operating procedures forsimulation activities.Collaborate with design, R&D, manufacturing, and testing teams to supportproduct development and validation.Technical Oversight: Ensure the accuracy and quality of mechanicalsimulations and structural analysis.Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve manufacturingprocesses, product quality, and operational efficiency.Collaboration: Work closely with product line management, sales, and otherdepartments to support new product introductions and strategic initiatives.Safety and Quality: Promote a culture of safety and quality within the team,ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Customer Focus: Liaise with customers to understand their requirements andprovide technical support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Higher leveldegree preferred.10+ years of experience in a similar roleFamiliarity with product development lifecycle and systems engineering.Strong understanding of hardware components and their applications inelectronics manufacturing.Excellent project management skills, with a track record of deliveringcomplex projects on time and within budget.Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture ofinnovation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability tocollaborate effectively across departments.Experience with mechanical simulations, structural analysis, and FiniteElement Analysis.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to hardwarecomponents.
