We are hiring a Truck Mechanic at our Medford, OR operation. In this role, you'll perform repair and maintenance on the company's fleet of commercial trucks. (Swing Shift 12PM-8:30PM Monday - Friday).

This is a union position with membership to the Teamsters Union Local 483 required after hire.

  • Union Scale Wage: $35.74 per hour
  • Benefits: Full union benefit package.

Major Job Responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problem to determine the method and extent of repairs necessary.
  • Perform service repairs.
  • Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from technical manuals and schematics.
  • Anticipate needed parts and supplies.
  • Document repairs and complete required paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, safety and environmental regulations and company policy.
  • Electrical, welding and air conditioning when needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18 years old.
  • Prior mechanic experience with commercial trucks, or similar experience or training.
  • Class A or B CDL.
  • Basic mathematical competence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
  • Commitment to working safely at all times.
  • Driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
  • Ability to lift, crouch, stoop, bend, push, pull, throughout the workday.
  • Ability to drive at night, work in inclement weather and work overtime as needed.
