Site Manager Position Summary:
The Site Manager is a full time onsite position that is responsible for the onsite coordination of the project scope of work under the direction of the Project Manager. This will include the coordination between the client site team and the erector, delivery tracking, Field Change Notice tracking, and schedule progress reporting.
Site Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to Travel for extended periods of time anywhere in the country/relocation is Required.
- Main point of contact for all site meetings, site scheduling, coordination, deliveries, and erector management.
- Understand the project specific scope of work and be able to communicate on that scope of work with the erector, client, or other trades when required.
- Work under the direction of the project manager and report any issues, concerns, milestones or incidents to that project manager.
- Maintain a delivery log and manage deliveries to site with the shipping department.
- Prepare daily reports and track progress of the project.
- Document, track, and research all fabrication errors, detailing errors or erection issues (FCN's), and coordinate the required correction with the parties involved.
- Track and understand design changes and revised drawings to help coordinate with the site team. This includes the tracking of any field work required to the correct change order number.
- The ability to work overtime including weekends if required, and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Site Manager Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with steel fabrication and/ or steel erection.
- Must be familiar with AISC and OSHA requirements.
- Must have proficient oral/written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, have the ability to learn new software used by specific clients.
Site Manager Physical Demands:
- Some overtime required to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally.
- Requires long periods of sitting.
- This position is fulltime onsite which will require travel for extended periods of time and could be on jobsites anywhere the country.
- All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
