Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Garfield Heights, OH Job Type: Full-Time | 1st Shift | Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm A leading metal fabrication manufacturer specializing in container locking rings in the packaging industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to keep our fabrication equipment operating at peak performance. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on metal fabrication machinery, including roll-forming machines, resistance welders, punch presses and rivet machines. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime. Carry out welding and fabrication tasks for equipment repair and modification (MIG and stick welding as needed). Use machining tools (lathe, mill, grinder, drill press) to fabricate replacement parts or custom components. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and fabrication drawings. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment inspections. Assist in the installation and relocation of fabrication machinery. Uphold a clean, organized, and safety-first work environment, following all OSHA and company safety protocols. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; technical trade certification preferred. 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a metal fabrication or heavy industrial environment preferred. Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience in fabrication equipment and tooling. Proficient in diagnosing and repairing basic electrical systems, including controls and sensors. Skilled in welding, torch cutting, and metal repair/modification. Able to safely use manual machine tools to fabricate or modify parts. Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently or in a small crew. #ParmaOH
