HVAC & Refrigeration Service Technician (Mechanic)

ACR Services, Inc., located in Jefferson, MD, is currently hiring a full-time, experienced commercial HVAC-R technician. We are seeking a detail-oriented, energetic professional to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems. This is a great opportunity to refine your skills and grow with a small, locally owned company that has over 35 years of experience in the industry.

This dynamic role primarily serves commercial clients and offers the chance to work on a wide variety of equipment, meet new people, and gain valuable field experience. If you have 3–5 years of HVAC experience, are CFC certified, have your own hand tools, and are eager to expand your knowledge, we want to hear from you.

This is a full-time position with rotating on-call hours and abundant overtime opportunities. Our service area includes the MD Beltway and parts of Northern VA and WV. A company vehicle will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
• Analyze, repair, and replace small commercial packaged units
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
• Clean, adjust, and repair systems; perform warranty services
• Complete emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training as needed
• Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance activities
• Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and background check
• 3–5 years of HVAC experience
• CFC certification
• Solid understanding of advanced principles in air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Refrigeration experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
