A heavy forklift operator is responsible for managing industrial trucks to move materials around a worksite. Here are some key duties and responsibilities:Duties and Responsibilities:Operating Forklifts: Safely operate forklifts to transport heavy goods around the facility or worksite.Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks and containers.Material Handling: Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.Safety Inspections: Inspect forklifts for safety and maintenance needs, reporting any issues or damages.Inventory Management: Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily equipment checks, such as recharging the forklift's battery and lubricating equipment.Record Keeping: Record daily production logs and equipment inspection reports. Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
