**Job Description**

**Position Purpose:**

Under the direction of the Senior Manager-Production Support, NJ Operations, The Supervisor-General Maintenance is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities for buildings and grounds in the Veolia New Jersey service territory.

**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**

+ Overall Objective : To ensure the proper maintenance and operational readiness of all Veolia facilities, vehicles, and equipment, and to provide resource support to other departments as necessary.

+ Work Assignment Delegation : To assign and manage tasks to maintenance personnel, ensuring the availability of required resources and materials for successful task completion.

+ Safety Compliance : To maintain comprehensive knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety regulations and protocols relevant to industrial site operations.

+ Operational Contingency Planning : To effectively address operational disruptions, including inclement weather events, equipment failures, and personnel absences, through strategic resource reallocation and task prioritization.

+ Contractor Oversight : To supervise and evaluate the performance of external contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.

+ Comprehensive Maintenance Oversight : To manage and oversee the maintenance and repair of diverse systems and infrastructure, including water systems and building facilities.

+ Treatment Program Management : To administer and direct the maintenance of filtration and PFAS treatment systems.

+ Snow Removal Coordination : To organize and execute snow removal operations and provide support to the Watershed Department during winter conditions.

+ HVAC System Administration : To oversee and manage the maintenance of HVAC systems across all company locations.

+ Emergency Response Capability : To be available and responsive to emergency situations at all times, including after-hours incidents.

+ Reservoir Support Services : To provide assistance and support for reservoir treatment operations.

+ Interagency Liaison : To serve as a liaison between the company and external agencies, as well as other internal departments.

+ Environmental Sustainability Support : To actively support recycling and environmental sustainability initiatives.

+ Contractor Management : To manage relationships with major contractors, conduct site inspections, and coordinate equipment rentals as needed.

+ Equipment Provision : To provide equipment, including vehicles and pumps, to other departments as required.

+ Engineering Support : To assist the Engineering Department with land surveying and related activities.

+ Staffing Augmentation : To provide additional staffing support to other departments during peak periods or as necessary.

+ Employee Training and Development : To deliver training to maintenance staff on job procedures and safety protocols.

+ Regulatory Compliance : To ensure adherence to the backflow and cross-connection control program requirements.

+ On-Call Availability : To be readily available for on-call duty to address maintenance issues promptly.

+ Emergency Response Team Participation : To serve as a member of the Veolia NJ Emergency Response Team.

+ Spill Response Management : To manage and coordinate the response to oil and waste spills.

**Qualifications**

**Education/Experience/Background:**

+ High School Diploma/GED is required.

+ Relevant trade experience and training.

+ Water Treatment experience is desirable.

+ Experience using a CMMS (preferably HxGN EAM) is desirable.

+ Minimum of 10 years related work experience in general facilities, equipment, and grounds maintenance.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**

+ Must be able to efficiently manage several crews simultaneously performing different tasks.

+ Must be experienced in all aspects of building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, welding, roofing, masonry, and painting.

+ Must be experienced in land maintenance including tree work, excavation, brush clearing, road maintenance, and fence repairs.

+ Must be able to operate or understand heavy equipment such as a backhoe, bulldozer, skid-steer, work barge, and boats.

+ Must be competent in Google Office Suite.

+ Must be able to prepare budgets and maintain KPI reports for a team.

+ The successful candidate must be able to operate or ride on a boat.

**Required Certification/Licenses/Training:**

+ Applicants must be able to obtain an NJDEP T-1 Water treatment license within 1 year of hire.

+ Applicants must be able to obtain an NJDEP Pesticide Applicators license within 1 year of hire.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ The successful candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs.

+ Sitting at a desk or conference table for long periods of time is required.

+ The successful candidate must be able to traverse rugged undeveloped terrain.

**Additional Information**

**Pay Range:** $95000 to $105000 per year.
