Project Engineer - Manufacturing

The Judge Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for a manufacturing company located in the Rochester, NY area.

Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

Location: Rochester, NY

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Responsibilities:

Oversee mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and performance targets.

Design and implement automation systems and robotics to improve production speed, accuracy, and adaptability.

Apply mechanical enhancements based on root cause analysis, utilizing Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing techniques to boost performance.

Create comprehensive project plans, including technical specifications, resource allocation, and schedules for mechanical system deployment.

Supervise the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring they function correctly and meet validation standards.

Draft detailed technical documentation, such as design calculations, installation manuals, and maintenance guides.

Keep thorough project records, including engineering change orders (ECOs), testing protocols, and performance reports.

Provide stakeholders with technical reports and updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Promote continuous improvement of manufacturing systems by assessing new technologies and mechanical innovations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

High proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).

Skilled in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

3-5 years of practical experience.
