**E.L. Harvey & Sons** is looking for a **Welder** to join our team in **New Bedford** **,** **MA** .
**Schedule:** Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30 / occasional Saturday's as needed.
**Rate:** Dependent on experience
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Performweldingand electrical repair of trash containers and compactors.
+ Performsandingandpaintingof trash containers.
+ Maintains a clean, safe work area incompliancewith Corporate and OSHA standards.
+ Performs all work in accordance with establishedsafetyprocedures, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
+ Ability to effectively communicateneeded repairs or tasks.
+ Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed.
**WORKING CONDITIONS AND** **PHYSICAL** **EFFORT:**
+ Extensivephysicalactivity. Requires strenuousphysicalwork;heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
+ Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair containers in the yard. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basicsafetyprecautions.
**MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Must be able to pass (i.e., testing negative on) a pre-employment drug screening.
+ Valid driver's license and clean driving record
+ Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly.
+ Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
+ Minimum 1 year of experience inMIG welding.
+ Electrical experience is a plus!
