The Electrician plays an integral role in troubleshooting electrical issues related to equipment and facilities throughout the plant.
Specific Responsibilities (The following list includes key duties that are descriptive but not restrictive.)
Read and interpret electrical schematics.
Utilize PLC experience to resolve electrical issues.
Use industrial controls to perform specific tasks in the operation of production equipment.
Work with electrical conduits for installation and replacement throughout the facility.
Install new electrical equipment.
Examine, identify, and troubleshoot electrical problems within the facility.
Maintain the facility's current electrical status and collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance departments to implement new design plans.
Assist with special projects as needed and as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
3-5 years of experience as an Electrician is preferred.
5-7 years of experience in a maintenance environment.
Previous experience in manufacturing is required.
Education
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Skills
PLC training or previous experience.
Experience in wiring and electrical mechanics.
Knowledge and experience in reading and using electrical instruments.
Thorough understanding of hand and power tools.
Basic math and carpentry skills.
Mechanical skills.
Familiarity with OSHA requirements and safety compliance.
Special Knowledge
Strong communication skills are essential, as this position involves providing technical guidance to all stakeholders in the manufacturing process, including the Engineering department and Management.
Strong project management skills are also required, as this role entails planning and coordinating activities for repair and installation projects.

Internal: Collaborates with Maintenance, Housekeeping, Engineering, Plant Management, Product Managers, Supervisors, and Parts Manager.
