Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental stewardship, is seeking a Project Manager based in Portland, Oregon. This role supports complex, high-value transmission projects requiring Real Property Services coordination, including land acquisition, rights-of-way, encroachment management, and stakeholder engagement. The Project Manager will collaborate with federal and state agencies, corporate partners, and private landowners to ensure project timelines aligned with construction and outage schedules. The ideal candidate is proactive, diplomatic, and experienced in managing sensitive infrastructure projects with multiple dependencies and moving parts.

This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits!

Pay Rate: $55.00 - $58.00/hr. DOE.

Location: Portland, OR. (HYBRID 3 days onsite per pay period)

Key Responsibilities for Project Manager:

Lead and support assigned projects from initiation to completion, collaborating with senior management, external stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

Define project scope, objectives, dependencies, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements in partnership with stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Forecast, request, and coordinate appropriate project resources; resolve resource allocation issues as needed.

Plan and facilitate project kickoff meetings, team meetings, and stakeholder communications.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, work plans, budgets, and resource strategies, update stakeholders regularly on progress and issues.

Coordinate real property services activities (e.g., land rights, permits, surveys, valuations) for various infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with engineering and construction timelines.

Track and manage all deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, including land rights documentation, acquisition records, and regulatory submissions.

Monitor project status, milestones, and deliverables; identify and mitigate risks; recommend and implement corrective actions as needed.

Ensure changes in project scope are accurately reflected in the project schedule and budget.

Serve as the point of contact for assigned projects and maintain regular communication with sponsors, teams, and stakeholders.

Provide technical input and decision-making support through briefings, meetings, and reports.

Support post-project reviews by drafting final reports, identifying lessons learned, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Facilitate the transition of project responsibilities to new project managers when needed, including training and stakeholder introductions.

Requirements for Project Manager:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, IT, or a related field preferred.

5-10 years of project management experience, including planning, execution, and process development.

Strong understanding of Real Property Services and related functions (e.g., Surveying, Mapping, Geospatial, Field Services).

Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.

Skilled in business transformation, process improvement, and change management.

Proficient with MS Project.
