Electrician - 3rd Shift

Shift: 11:00 PM-7:15 AM Hourly Rate: $35.82 an hour + $1.00 shift differential Conagra Brands in Fort Madison, Iowa is looking for Electricians to join our 3rd Shift Team. You will report to the 3rd Shift Maintenance Team Lead and join a team of 15. You will work on-site at our Fort Madison Plant, home to Armour, Nalley's and more! Job Details: Starting Pay: $35.82/hour with the potential to earn up to $42.93/hour through our Skill-Based Pay Model! You'll earn your first raise within your first 4 months on the job. Shift Differential: $1.00/hour Schedule: Sunday - Thursday | 11pm - 7:18am OT Available Union Manufacturing Environment - UFCW 617 You Will: Write electrical wiring plans to support the systems throughout the manufacturing plant. Install switches, resistors and circuit break panels Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facility. Perform troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment Read and interpret equipment manuals Complete Work Orders Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments Education and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Associate's Degree in Electrical Maintenance or equivalent (in the absence of a degree, 2+ years of applicable work history) 1 year of experience in a manufacturing facility 1 year of experience repairing machinery Work Environment While performing the responsibilities of this job, you are frequently exposed to raw food material, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. You will communicate by speech and hearing by phone and in person. You will need visual acuity for close detail work and computer use. You will be very active and require frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling in tight spaces, and climbing all day. You will lift up to 40 pounds.
