Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Modeler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or field experience and experience with various modeling software. As a BIM Modeler, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring that all models are accurate, efficient, and compliant with industry standards and the NEC. Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for electrical systems using Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment on project specifications and requirements. Create layout designs that incorporate electrical wiring and systems in accordance with NEC standards. Conduct clash detection using NavisWorks to identify potential issues before construction begins. Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports related to the modeling process. Review and revise models based on feedback from team members and stakeholders. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in BIM technology to enhance modeling practices. Skills Working knowledge of all years of Revit Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Revit/Navisworks Familiarity with Revit specifically focused on Electrical and Low Voltage systems Fluency in Navisworks and Revizto for clash detection and coordination Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Familiarity with Revit Families and their parameters Comfortable in a Commercial and Industrial environment Working knowledge of Evolve MEP add in for Revit Knowledge of cloud work-sharing, worksets, and filters Knowledge of prefabrication and how to build a job Ability to create sheets, sections, schedules Experience managing subcontractors is a plus Ability to work with Laser Scans is a plus Electricians or anyone with electrical knowledge is a plus Ability to read and write in English is required Ability to collaborate with Architects, Engineers, customers, and other project stakeholders Knowledge of Level of Development and their meaning Fluency in Bluebeam Fluency and interpretation of blueprints both digital and hard copies Ability to type, and run all Microsoft Office applications Ability to communicate clearly with limited supervision Must be a team player and have great communication skills If you are passionate about building information modeling and have the skills we are looking for, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a BIM Modeler.
